Succulent Cacti Crochet Granny Square

Howdy folks!
I love this succulent cacti trend that's been happening over the last few years - it's in home decor all over the place and I'm taking it to crochetland!
This is the 6th and final day of the Craft Yarn Council's Anti-Boredom Month Granny Square Crochet-A-Long here on the blog and I've had so much fun designing themed granny squares for this crochet-a-long and hope you've had some fun too!
This cute little cactus has a blooming coral flower and is oh so easy to whip up! I can see a beautiful throw pillow on the couch made of these succulent cacti squares - what a fun and funky accent!
PATTERN
Size: 5 in. by 5 in.
Materials:
Succulent Cacti Granny Square
-Worsted weight yarn, I used Red Heart Soft in White, Guacamole, Toast, and Coral
-Size H 5mm crochet hook
-Tapestry needle
Succulent Cacti:
Begin with Guacamole, Ch 9
Row 1: Sc in each st across, Ch 1, turn (8)
Row 2: Sc in back loops only across, Ch 1, turn (8)
Row 3: Sc in front loops only across, Ch 1, turn (8)
Row 4: Sc in back loops only across, Sc increase (back loop only) in last st, Ch 1, turn (9)
Row 5: Sc increase (front loop only) in first st, Sc in front loops only across, Ch 1, turn (10)
Row 6: Repeat Row 4 (11)
Row 7: Sc decrease (front loop only) in first st, Sc in front loops only across, Ch 1, turn (10)
Row 8: Sc in back loops only across, Sc decrease (back loop only) in last st, Ch 1, turn (9)
Row 9: Repeat Row 7 (8)
Row 10: Sc in back loops only across, Ch 1, turn (8)
Row 11: Sc in front loops only across, Ch 1, do not turn (8)
Row 12: Sc evenly around perimeter of cacti, sl st to join, finish off and
weave ends
Planter:
With Toast, join to bottom of the cacti as pictured (the side opposing your increases and decreases), Ch 1
Row 1: Sc in back loops only across, Ch 1, turn (11) Row 2: Sc dec, Sc in next 7 sts, Sc dec, Ch 1, turn (9) Row 3: Sc dec, Sc in next 5 sts, Sc dec, Ch 1, turn (7) Row 4: Sc dec, Sc in next 3 sts, Sc dec, Ch 1, turn (5) Row 5: Sc in each st across, finish off, weave ends
Flower:
With Coral, begin with a magic ring, *Ch 5, sl st into ring, repeat from *four more times, finish off leaving a long tail for sewing
Sew onto Succulent Cacti and weave ends.
Granny Square:
Round 1: Join white yarn in top right corner of cactus dome, (Ch 2, 2 Dc, Ch 3, 3 Dc) all in that same st, Ch 1, skip 3 sts, 3 Dc in next st, Ch 1, skip 3 sts, 3 Dc in next st, Ch 1, skip 3 sts, *(3 Dc, Ch 3, 3 Dc) in next st, Ch 1, skip 3 sts, 3 Dc in next st, Ch 1, skip 3 sts, 3 Dc in next st, Ch 1, skip 3 sts, repeat from * two more times, sl st to join, sl st into corner Ch space, Ch 2
Round 2: (2 Dc, Ch 3, 3 Dc) in first corner Ch space, 3 Dc in each of next 3 Ch spaces, *(3 Dc, Ch 3, 3 Dc) in corner Ch space, 3 Dc in each of next 3 Ch spaces, repeat from * two more times, sl st to join, sl st into corner Ch space, Ch 2
Round 3: (2 DC, CH 3, 3 DC) in first Ch 3 space, Dc in each st across, *(3 Dc, Ch 3, 3 Dc) in next corner space, Dc in each st across, repeat from * two more times, sl st to join to starting Ch, finish off, weave end
