Summer Kitchen Series
8:11:00 PMOver the course of June and July I've put together a six part Summer Kitchen Series using Lion Brand 24/7 Cotton and it's been so much fun!
I'd like to rave about this yarn for a moment. It's my favorite right now. You know how most cotton yarn is kind of dull and tough? It's a pain to work with on your hook and I've never loved the result I get with traditional cotton yarn. It's just always kind of blah.
Until 24/7 Cotton! It has a pearly finish and super bright, vibrant colors. The texture is so smooth and creates a wonderful fabric when you crochet with it. It does have a bit of weight to it which I love also, like THIS Gingham Picnic Blanket I made - it won't fly up in the wind!
Anyway, back to the Kitchen Series.
I chose to use soft, feminine colors inspired by my Great Grandmother Betty - thus the name given to these patterns! I used white, rose, pink, lilac, and mint and a touch of Lion Brand Kitchen Cotton in blueberry (this one was a bit more absorbent for the dishcloth).
